This publication contends that as anti-extradition bill protests are taking a toll on Hong Kong’s economy amidst increasing violence, political instability, declining business confidence and travel warnings, it is also uncovering other underlying socioeconomic problems of anti-Chinese sentiments, a housing crisis and an extreme wealth gap between the rich and the poor in the country.
