This paper focuses on how international relations and public policy think tanks engage with each other and influence policymakers via Twitter. To do so, the authors review data from 695 Twitter channels on political developments related to Brexit, President Donald Trump’s election in the US and Russia’s influence on global affairs. One of the key findings highlighted by the authors is that this review of Twitter activity suggests that Brussels is gaining influence and political clout in the world, while Washington remains the focal point of international relations.
