STRATFOR Discusses Energy Security
8 Oct 2012
In the third of a series of videos produced for us by our colleagues at external pageStratforcall_made, Rodger Baker discusses some of the most important security challenges facing today’s global energy network. He begins by stressing the importance of safe and secure transportation links, which far-flung energy consumers nervously continue to rely upon. He then provides some predictions on what he believes the nature of energy security will look like in the short-term. He expects, for example, the construction of pipelines that will bypass the Strait of Hormuz and a greater dependence on shale oil and gas by the global energy system.
