What goals did Prime Minister Theresa May lay out in her January 2017 speech on the UK’s pending departure from the EU? Seemingly, her primary aim is to maximize the UK’s access to the European Single Market through a Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (CFTA). However, on the issues of immigration and budgets, the PM remained vague on the transitional arrangements the UK might want to pursue.
