This issue of the Russian Analytical Digest draws attention to Russia’s evolving relationship with Tatarstan and the Chechen Republic. First, it discusses power sharing between Tatarstan and Moscow. Further, it considers the oil factor and war of clans in Chechnya. This issue also includes the regional GDPs of Tatarstan and the Chechen Republic and election results of the 2007 Duma elections as well as the 2008 presidential elections for Tatarstan and the Chechen Republic.
