This paper investigates the underlying reasons for the Euro’s persistent popularity. It concludes that the currency remains in place not because of fear, but because it 1) facilitates various forms of economic exchange, and 2) continues to foster a sense of community among European citizens, particularly in the aftermath of the continent’s most recent economic crisis.
