This report explores the conflict and the peace process in Darfur, Sudan, since 2003. It highlights a need to understand the ramifications of the International Criminal Court's (ICC's) decisions in Darfur within a judicial and procedural context. The author discusses the ICC's jurisdiction over non-state parties in Sudan, exploring the indictment of President Omar Al-Bashir, and the implications of ICC decisions on peace processes in the region.
