This report discusses the advocacy of strategic and missile stability in southern Asia. It presents the findings of an MIT/IPCS/CAPS Conference held in New Delhi, 28-29 March 2006. Panelists debated lessons from the US-USSR strategic standoff, the implications of military programs in space, the role of missiles and missile defense in Asia, criteria for missile launch surveillance in southern Asia, and the improvement of global stability through multilateral agreement.
