This report details the sixth summit meeting of the Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO), held in Hong Kong in December 2005. The first section focuses on India's position in the multilateral Doha Round trade talks. It further discusses why developing countries signed on to the Hong Kong Declaration, the summit's significance for WTO institutional legitimacy and the role of the WTO in general.
