This report covers the Town Hall meeting on the war in Afghanistan convened in December 2008. It summarizes the assessments given by a panel of experts on the current strategic and security challenges, both within Afghanistan and across the region. It also highlights the issues of promoting human and social development and offers insights on ways to strengthen stabilization efforts in Afghanistan.
