This book discusses the evolution of political Islam in North Africa and the Middle East as well as its implication for western democracies. Whereas several chapters look at specific cases of countries or islamic parties, others analyze political Islam in general and assess possible risks of radicalization. Moreover, the book includes advice on how Europe should engage with Islamist forces.
