This report by the US Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS) provides a comprehensive picture of the spectrum of politically motivated threats and violence that American citizens encountered abroad during 2008. The data is organized by regions as well as into three thematic groupings: Americans injured in terrorist/politically motivated violence; Americans killed in terrorist/politically motivated violence; and incidents pertaining to violent attacks in general.
