This paper provides a description of the changes that the DART model, developed at the Kiel Institute for World Economics in 1998, has undergone. The multi-sectoral, multi-regional dynamic computable general equilibrium model of the world is a tool to analyze international climate policies - especially those associated with the Kyoto Protocol. It has been amended to run on more recent data and to analyze prevailing issues associated with international emission trading. Moreover, the authors lay open the basis of the results of past and future policy analysis with DART97.
