This article discusses the possibility of a breakthrough in EU-Russian relations in the eve of the June 2008 summit. The authors outline points of negotiation, noting that the question of shared values is a major area of dispute, as is Europe's energy dependency problem. They then look at Polish foreign policy toward Russia and the German view on Euro-Russian relations.
