This policy briefs offers advice for Canada's government on how to proceed on Afghanistan. The author examines the security situation in the country and assesses the prospects for nation-building efforts. He concludes that Canada should wait until the details of the new US administration's policy are known before making a final decision on post-2011 Canadian involvement in Afghanistan.
