This article discusses future prospects for the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the light of the Russia-Georgia conflict that took place in 2008. The author argues that while the conflict reduced the threat of another war between Armenia and Azerbaijan, given Russia’s support for the status-quo and principal differences between the sides involved, chances for a peaceful solution to the conflict are slim.
