This publication explores national policies and programs provided by the Japanese government in relation to promoting peace and security with an emphasis on northern Uganda. It focuses on assessing the project Protection and Promotion of Rights of Children Affected by Conflict in Acholiland and Acholi Sub-Region in northern Uganda. The authors show that the project was well-designed, planned and implemented according to the requirements of its beneficiaries - internally displaced communities and children.
