The articles compiled in this volume examine the various strategic developments in the Middle East between 2008 and early 2009, with an emphasis on developments directly connected to Israel. The articles discuss the processes that took shape during that period. The analysis of the developments is the basis for assessing their implications for the foreseeable future. Joining the analyses are conclusions regarding what policies would be best adopted in order to confront the challenges inherent in long-term processes and developments in the Middle East itself and in the relevant international environment.
