This paper brings together figures about the UK House of Commons and House of Lords, their membership and activities in order to provide comparison over time. In particular, the authors present data on the work of parliament including legislation, members' activities, sittings and petitions. They present statistical information on the members of parliament, on committees, the cost of parliament and its communication with the public. Finally, the paper presents an international comparison.
