This paper sets forth a 'community safety strategy' to safeguard the heritage, education and tourism sites of the Greater Kliptown Development Project. In addition to unpacking this security strategy, the paper lists some of the chief safety and security concerns in Kliptown. A 'community safety strategy' emphasizes crime prevention and eschews more orthodox enforcement approaches.
