The report contrasts the implementation of South Africa's Domestic Violence Act (DVA) at courts in Alberton and Temba. It compares its findings with data surrounding the effectiveness of the 1993 Prevention of Family Violence Act (PFVA) as well as with other South African studies on the DVA. The authors show that the Alberton court better implements the DVA by offering quicker service returns, faster court dates and maintaining a good system for recording information.
