This report analyzes the truth and reconciliation process and its role in establishing democracy and a human rights culture in post-Apartheid South Africa. It examines the Quaker Peace Centre (QPC) as one of the first centers that participated in non-violent liberation at a community level, encouraging conflict resolution through direct intervention or capacity-building for members of disadvantaged communities. It also explores the context, organizational profile and approach of the QPC's Reconciliation and Reconstruction program
