This report discusses the results of the victim-offender mediation (VOM) pilot program, addressing the consequences of human rights abuses committed during South Africa's Apartheid era. The authors examine the role of VOM programs in ex-combatant reintegration and community reconciliation efforts. They support linking transitional justice goals of accountability, truth recovery and victim healing with processes of ex-combatant reintegration.
