This publication presents findings from South Africa's first national female homicide study. The authors analyze data to estimate the national female homicide rate and factors associated with the murders and case outcomes. They highlight the role of guns and alcohol in the deaths of females, demonstrating the importance of implementing better gun control to curb violence against women.
