This report discusses the Khulumani Support Group, a South African NGO that has been lobbying government to implement a clear reparations policy for survivors of Apartheid-era political violence. It outlines the NGO's major campaigns and evaluates its effectiveness in terms of lobbying support for its cause. The author explores the context within which Khulumani developed its program and the challenges it faces in its implementation. The report examines Khulumani's engagement with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), focusing on member perceptions of government engagement on the issue of reparations.
