This book assesses the state of the security sector in Georgia after the 2008 Rose Revolution. The first section discusses internal matters such as post-authoritarian internal security, the role of power elites in the country and the legal provisions for the deployment of foreign forces in Georgia. The second section examines Georgia's relations with regional and international organizations. Finally, the third section outlines the security situation with reference to the Georgian military, as well as the role of civilians in national security and civil-military relations.
