This report analyzes Africa's development on the country, regional, and continental level and proposes a new kind of partnership between Africa and the developed world to help it tackle the problems that affect it. This partnership would be based on mutual respect and solidarity, and rooted in a sound analysis of what actually works. The authors examine such issues as governance and capacity building, the need for peace and security, growth and poverty reduction, and the need for more and fairer trade.
