This paper analyzes the terrorist events that took place in Pakistan in the beginning of 2009. The author seeks to provide a more general portrait of a Pakistan dealing with an ever increasing number of suicide attacks and see where the country stands in the light of the existing theories on the subject. He also presents the lessons that can be learned from the very specific Pakistani case.
