This policy paper discusses US-EU cooperation in combating terrorism since the attacks of 11 September 2001. The authors explain that the trans-Atlantic partnership to combat terrorism has been a success story despite philosophical differences or political tensions. The paper evaluates the potential for further development and improvement of cooperation between the US and the EU and provides suggestions and recommendations for future enhancements.
