This paper presents the situation in developing countries in the aftermath of the 2008/2009 international financial crisis. The author analyzes the economic and human impact of the crisis on the developing societies and proposes several possible policy responses: ensuring a sustained rainbow recovery for all and reducing global volatility by solving market and coordination failures. He argues that these measures would provide a new global compact for crisis-resilient growth.
