This US Senate report conducts an investigation into alleged corruption and official misconduct in association with the United Nations oil-for-food program in Iraq. The report states that Saddam Hussein misused the oil-for-food program to reward people he hoped would work against UN sanctions and that Saddam rewarded two veteran European politicians by allowing them to collect profits as middlemen in oil sales.
