This research paper discusses the multiple roots and effects of terrorism. The author describes how in particular economic effects can contribute both to the causes and consequences of terrorism. The paper addresses how economic considerations might be used to better understand terrorism and to devise strategies and specific policies for effectively countering terrorism.
