This UN report reviews and judges Zimbabwe's controversial slum clearance program known as Operation Murambatsvina. The report is highly critical of the slum clearance program orchestrated by the government of President Mugabe and states that the program was carried out in an indiscriminate manner and caused extensive suffering. The report provides proposals for immediate actions by both the government of Zimbabwe and the United Nations to solve the humanitarian crisis and consequences resulting from Operation Murambatsvina, as well as recommendations for long-term measures to properly handle Zimbabwe's general social problems.
