This publication examines the origins of the trilateral Africa-China-EU dialogue, makes proposals for building on this dialogue as well as outlining possible models for cooperation. The authors note that it is unclear as to whether China shares the same level of enthusiasm for trilateral dialogue as the EU and remark that profound skepticism also remains within Africa. They highlight challenges to realizing trilateral cooperation before assessing the possible forms of cooperation between the three.
