This monograph calls for the establishment of integrated multinational divisions (IMD) to address NATO's deficiencies and their detrimental effect on military capabilities. The author argues that for the alliance as a whole, IMDs would allow for a greater pooling of resources and manpower as well as focused modernization of force contributions. The result, contends the author, would be a more cohesive, modern and mobile NATO at a pittance of the cost.
