This paper presents two addresses by historians and former US soldiers on the intersection of warfare and technology. The historians underscore the human nature of warfare and the limits of technology, and caution that because the Revolution in Military Affairs makes warfare all the more complex and changeable, one would be well advised to heed Carl von Clausewitz's admonition, "The use of force is in no way incompatible with the simultaneous use of the intellect."
