This monograph analyzes US policy toward the Balkans in 1995. It identifies policy conflicts or contradictions that may stymie US efforts to bring about a peaceful resolution to the crisis and offers potential solutions. The authors counsel that short-term decision-making on the war in the Balkans could lead to long-term European and global consequences for the US.
