This report seeks to provide a list of suggestions on EU economic reform for policymakers. The report identifies and examines the shortcomings in the EU's economic agenda, such as a rigid labor market, the absence of a positive climate for innovation, and deficits in research and development investment. The authors argue that these shortcomings warrant immediate action, but they reject the pessimism regarding the Union's overall economic situation.
