This monograph presents the views of two US defense scholars on the Revolution in Military Affairs and the outlook for the US armed forces in the 21st century. The first argues that the US military of the 21st century will be shaped by domestic concerns as much as by external threats to American security. The second stresses that doctrines will provide the basis for force structure, training and weapons acquisition.
