This article is an appeal to strategists to develop strategic art as a distinct discipline that every strategic leader must master. The author defines strategic art as the orchestration of all instruments of national power to produce specific, well-defined end objectives in the realms of physical security, economic well-being and the promotion of values. The article explains that a master of strategic art will perform the roles of strategic leader, strategic practitioner and strategic theorist simultaneously.
