This volume contains articles related to liberal and neoliberal ideas and interests affecting political and economic policies all over the world. To begin with it discusses the role of political and economic liberalism in US and Europe, the notion of a Concert of Liberal Democracies and the general theories of the role of neoliberal markets in education and the effects on gender equity. It also explores effective negotiations between the US and Iran as means to a peaceful resolution in the Middle East; discusses the failure of Kyoto Protocol; the use of diplomacy as a foreign policy tool to promote human rights worldwide; and the US' African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA).
