This policy brief outlines a systematic and consistent approach to financial regulation. The authors argue that such regulation may ensure that financial crises in the future will be significantly fewer and milder than they have been in the past two decades. After a brief analysis of the past financial crisis, this publication proposes several policy recommendations to ensure better global economic governance.
