This policy brief argues that least developed countries should engage in approaches and practices that mitigate future emissions while simultaneously supporting poverty alleviation and economic development. It notes that not all low-carbon development is pro-poor, with some options offering far better benefits for the poor than others. It provides recommendations for the agricultural, forestry and energy sectors in particular.
