This publication assesses the relationship between India and China, using Chinese-authored publications as a reference. The authors analyze the various collaborative ventures undertaken by China and India, and show that China and India are consummate practitioners of the workings of international institutions. They assess Chinese relations with Pakistan and India's with the US, and note the impact of these on the China-India relationship. The authors conclude that in order to interact with China and India in the future, the EU will have to learn to speak the language of their pressing needs and interests.
