This issue of the Central European Journal of International and Security Studies (CEJISS) opens with a critique of rationalist problem-solving analyses of suicide terrorism. Next, and among other issues, it examines popular misconceptions surrounding the term 'unlawful combatant' in the international security discourse, explores the reasoning behind Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's June 2008 proposal to create a 'new security architecture in Europe,' and analyzes EU-Russia rapprochement during the 1990s and 2000s theoretically using a constructivist framework.
