This article discusses China's key role and demands in climate change negotiations and responses by the US and EU. It reviews the demands by China, including a 40 percent reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by industrialized countries, financed mitigation and adaptation actions in developing countries and non-commercial technology transfers.
