This paper summarizes the discussions during a CEPS colloquium on the topics of Europe's borders, and security policy in the EU. The colloquium was concerned with security in a broad sense but gave special attention to borders, as well as to justice and issues relating to home affairs. The speakers highlighted the importance of well thought-out policy and trust when considering an enlarged EU.
