This article discusses the increased civilian and military casualties in Pakistan as a result of violence triggered by the War on Terror waged in the neighboring Afghanistan, since 2001. It shows that in 2009, the victims of terrorist attacks in Pakistan outnumbered the civilian casualties in Afghanistan in the same period. It contends that if this tendency continues, it could deepen the Pakistani public's resentment towards the US and its allies.
