This issue of Caucasian Review of International Affairs (CRIA) analyzes several issues facing Russia and the surrounding regions. It analyzes Russia's attempts to influence its neighbors and its National Security Strategy. It also explores the language rights in Tatarstan and the peaceful co-existence of the two major religions in Kazan. The journal contains an in-depth assessment of the state transformation in Georgia and Armenia, an analysis of the prospects of turning EU into an important international actor after the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty, and an evaluation of market reforms in Central and Eastern Europe.
