This monograph aims to inform research into the full scope of human trafficking in South Africa, and calls for more extensive and representative investigations into human trafficking in South Africa. The author discusses the conceptualization of trafficking, methodological issues, and gaps in the current literature. She then provides examples of creative methodologies that could be applied in efforts to extend the boundaries of trafficking research in South Africa.
